Beautiful landscape. However, the cycle path is now in serious need of repair.

There are two paths, one very close to the canal and one a little further along the edge of the field. At the beginning, decide which one you want to take. A path to unwind.

The Lieper lock is one of the 12 locks that were built as boiler locks with two gates became. They are about 41 × 5.2 meters in size and are operated by hand.

It is the last lock along the Finow Canal before it flows into the Oder-Havel Canal. The listed Finow Canal, Germany's oldest artificial, continuously navigable waterway (early 17th century), has been renovated since 1999. When you cross the Kesselschleuse with two gates, you pause: The construction is characteristic of all twelve locks of the Finow Canal, which are all similar in size at approx. 40 × 5 meters and are operated by hand.
