The climatic health resort of Malchow lies amidst blue lakes and vast forests in the west of the Mecklenburg Lake District, while the island is positioned directly in Lake Malchow. Two special eye-catchers are the swing bridge, which opens every hour, and the earthen dam, because they connect the island to the mainland. From the observation tower of the majestic monastery church you can experience a breathtaking view of the entire island city. Four museums, an ice rink and the elegant city windmill await a visit.

I rode the path with the gravel bike, 40mm wide tires and low tire pressure (2.5 bar). That was just about the way, but the almost untouched nature is a nice adventure.
