Parallel to the developed supply road, a hidden forest singletrack trail runs along the shore of Lake Flemhude. The rooty and winding trail is easily accessible even in summer. It has several dog bathing areas and ends at the bathing area where the lake meets the Kiel Canal. An absolutely worthwhile section.

It is a very beautiful path through dense forest, with views of the Eider Canal and other bodies of water to the right and left. Beware of mosquitoes in summer.

On one side the Flemhuder See, on the other side the Achterwehrer shipping canal 😊...

In summer, there's almost no view of the Eider River or Lake Flemhude. The path is wide and comfortable, and very popular with cyclists.

Been there a week ago. The first section from the south directly behind the motorway is blocked by a construction fence / construction site. The left "hook" is currently not accessible
