The port town of Eckernförde, which emerged from a fishing settlement, is worth a visit not least because of its pretty old town and the museum harbor. For example, you can learn a lot about the underwater world of the Baltic Sea in the Baltic Sea Info Center. Here you can even get close to the sea creatures in the feeling pool.
