Explore the 6.1-kilometer (3.8-mile) Lake Trail near Waimes, Liège. The trail is generally rated as moderate and can mostly be completed in 1 hour 30 minutes. As the trail is ideal for hiking, you will rarely be alone and will meet other adventurers during your trip. The trail is accessible all year round and is worth a visit at any time of year. Dogs are allowed but must be on a leash.

The Haelen Bridge (text on the information board): The bridge, built in 1928-29 after the construction of the barrier wall on the Warche, was given the name "Haelen" (small village near the town of Diest), where the Belgian army repelled a German attack on August 12, 1914. This name replaced the name "Waterloo" which the Prussians gave to a new bridge over the Warche in 1861 when building the road between St. Vith and Baraque Michel (Belgian-Prussian border).
