Beautiful view over the water. Water tower can sometimes be visited!

There are bike paths next to it, but if you do not want to stop, you are still on the road next to the water tower and these bike paths are either in bad state or on the road - which is often very busy. Thus, I would not recommend adding this highlight particulary without the intention to stop here!

Here you can cycle fast, few obstacles, space to overtake and a beautiful view too.

Circle of 20 colorful ceramic posts, made by final exam candidates of the secondary horticultural school Aalsmeer (Florenscollege; now the Wellant College) on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the secondary horticultural school in 1997. The posts are different in color and shape and decorated with flower - and plant motifs. To obtain a unity they are placed in a circle. Circles had both a protective and celestial meaning in ancient times, hence the mystical title 'Witch's Circle'

The water tower is a national monument, built in 1928 in Art Deco style. The tower can be visited every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month.

The water tower in Aalsmeer can be found on the edge of the Westeinderplassen. The construction of the water tower started in 1926 and was completed in 1928. The tower is a monumental structure of 50 meters high. With its height, the tower occupies a dominant position on the Westeinderplassen.

Very pleasant road for cycling

From the beach you have a beautiful view over the Poel and the water tower. Take a refreshing dip yourself, or watch the water sports enthusiasts in the distance.
