Inventory of Nørre Bjert Church The church's furnishings date predominantly from the 19th century, with the exception of an early Gothic crucifix from 1300, which hangs in the nave north of the chancel arch. The church's baptismal font is carved from granite and decorated with various reliefs, including a dove, plants, and a cross. The altarpiece dates from 1932 and consists of a gilded painting of the Ascension of Christ set in a frame whose corners are adorned with small paintings representing the symbols of the four Evangelists—an angel, an eagle, a lion, and an ox. The pulpit, dating from 1939, is set in a niche with passages leading from the chancel and is decorated with a colorful relief depicting the shepherds adoring the newborn Jesus.

The sculpture "Fanden er løs" (roughly translated: "The Devil is Loose") is an impressive and must-see bronze sculpture in Middelfart. It was created in 2012 by the Danish artist Steffan Herrik and unveiled as part of a ceremony organized by the Arts Committee. Herrik, who was born in Middelfart in 1950, lives and works near the city. KulturØen (The Culture Island) is a modern, architecturally interesting building, a feast for the eyes right on Middelfart's new harborfront. The Culture Island was designed by the renowned architectural firm Arkitekten Schmidt Hammer Lassen. Architect John Lassen and designer Lars Vejen were primarily responsible for the work. The building was constructed on an artificial island in the new harbor, the privately owned marina. The cladding is made of pre-patinated zinc. KulturØen opened in August 2005.
