The Stettiner Tor (Stettin Gate) in Gartz is the only one of the original four city gates that still survives today and represents a significant architectural monument of the city's medieval fortifications. The lower part of the gate was built in the 13th century from fieldstone with a pointed arch and is named after the city of Stettin.

The second passage next to the tower was added in 1935. The gate underwent extensive restoration between 1995 and 1997.

The building was constructed between 1900 and 1904 by architect Ch. Steinweg as a district court and prison, and bears the head of former district judge Vendt on the sandstone column in the entrance area. It has served as the town hall since 1953.

With its slender shape and curved roof, which was modeled on the wings of cranes, it is an architectural attraction on the northern edge of the large protected area. From the viewing platform, which is 11 meters high, visitors have a magnificent view of the Staffelde Polder. Here, visitors are given a glimpse into the future of the Oder Valley. The wilderness in the Staffelde Polder has been able to develop undisturbed for 20 years. Large areas of reed landscapes, interrupted by watercourses, dominate the area.
