The boulder garden is part of a larger adventure landscape, which also includes the "History Walk through Fürstenwerder" circular trail and the local history room. It is centrally located and also offers a beautiful view of the Great Lake.

Fürstenwerder was first mentioned in a document in 1319. At that time, the town was called "Civitas Fürstenwerder" and developed into a Brandenburg border town.

Fürstenwerder is known for its well-preserved medieval city wall, which is approximately 1,200 meters long and encloses the historic town center. The wall was built from fieldstone in the Middle Ages and is still partially preserved. Between 1996 and 2000, the city wall underwent extensive renovation to ensure its preservation.

This memorial stone is part of a larger memorial that also honors the victims of the Second World War. In addition to the main memorial, several plaques with the names of those who died in the First World War are located in the porch of the church. The inscription on the First World War memorial stone reads: "In memory of the fallen of the World War 1914-1918. - We remember the relatives who fell in the Second World War, who were missing, or who died of their wounds. (Names) We will honor the memory of all of them." The names of those who died in the First World War are listed on the plaques in the church porch and on the memorial stone in the cemetery.
