The Wendish Tower, or Serbska wěža in Sorbian, is part of Bautzen's medieval city fortifications. It is located on the northeastern edge of the old town and is now structurally connected to Gottfried Semper's Old Barracks (Stara kaserna). The village church in Reichwalde has a comparatively small tower (at least up close), which is somewhat reminiscent of the onion domes of the Russian Orthodox Church, though of course not as colorful. The church is usually open. There are five parking spaces in front.

Peace and serenity

The church is located in the center of the village of Reichwalde. The current Reichwalde church was built in 1747. Before this time, however, there was supposedly already a wooden church in Reichwalde.
