Very beautiful area

The Portland Head Light is located on a rocky promontory in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, and has marked the entrance to Portland Harbor since 1791. It is the oldest lighthouse in the state. The 24-meter-tall, white tower structure was built at the direction of George Washington. Today, the U.S. Coast Guard operates the light, while the former keeper's house houses a museum. The building is owned by the municipality and is located in picturesque Fort Williams Park, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Richmond sits along the Kennebec River and like many towns in Maine it has its own unique charm. What separates Richmond from its neighbors is the collection of homes built in a Greek Revival style. It's also the main access point for Swan Island and the Steve Powell Wildlife Management Area. This island is a nature lovers dream as there is no vehicle access, thus you'll have to provide your own boat or hire one to take you to the island.

Augusta, Maine's State Capital, sits along the banks of the Kennebec River. It's the 3rd smallest U.S. State Captial by population & offers a unique mixture of historic buildings, great restaurants, & ample opportunities to explore the river and other outdoor destinations.
