Bisperode Castle is a listed moated castle in Bisperode. The Prince-Bishop of Paderborn, Hermann Werner von Wolff-Metternich zur Gracht, had the complex built between 1694 and 1700 on his family's fief. The observation tower belonging to the original Schell-Pyrmont Castle was built in 1824 by the sovereign Prince Georg Friedrich of Waldeck-Pyrmont and is thus one of the oldest observation towers in a spa town.
