수경 시설은 공작 프리드리히 시대에 궁정 건축가 요한 요아힘 부쉬(Johann Joachim Busch, 약 1760년대)의 지휘 아래 후기 바로크 양식으로 확장될 때 만들어졌습니다. 이 공원은 작은 바로크 정원(1731/35년부터)에서 발전했으며, 1852–1860년 사이에 페터 요제프 렌네(Peter Joseph Lenné)에 의해 조경 공원으로 재조성되었습니다. 분수는 기계식 펌프 없이 오직 물의 자연적인(그리고 부분적으로 인공적으로 조성된) 경사만을 이용하여 작동됩니다. 이는 공원의 모든 수경 시설에 해당됩니다.

The 24 "water jumps" in the Ludwigslust Canal in the Ludwigslust Palace Park are really worth seeing and it is worth walking the path through the beautiful palace park to get here. The monument to Duke Friedrich the Pious north of the grotto, made by Rudolf Kaplunger around 1788, is a sandstone group surrounded by a decorative wrought-iron fence on a pedestal.
