The Franzosenstein On the shores of Lake Lindsee, this memorial stone commemorates the devastation of the Napoleonic Wars. On October 27, 1806, Baron Friedrich Leopold von Hertefeld was forced to hide in the forest for three days as marauding French troops wreaked severe havoc in Liebenberg. The losses in livestock and food, cash and household furnishings, as well as cultural assets such as books and paintings, totaled 24,350 Prussian thalers. His faithful housekeeper, Demoiselle Neumann, later had the memorial stone erected at her own expense.

The nature reserve "Klienitz" is located in the Zehdenicker-Mildenberger Tonstichlandschaft directly on the city limits of Zehdenick. It was declared a nature reserve in December 2002. As part of the "Uckermärkische Seen" nature park and the FFH area "Mildenberger Tonstiche" its high protection value is recognizable. It covers an area of about 200 hectares. The Klienitz itself is a branch of the Havel. "Klin" comes from Old Slavic and means "wedge". There must once have been wedge-shaped islands here due to the branching of several tributaries. These side arms of the Havel disappeared in the 19th century when the river above Zehdenick was straightened. The development of large clay deposits from 1888 changed the area permanently. The brickworks Kinder and Riesenberg & Berends mined clay in the course of the Klienitz. The remaining hole filled with water and today forms the children's stitch. A canal system, which also belongs to the nature reserve, is also striking. The people of Zehdenick know it as "Pflug's Kanal". It was built in the first half of the 20th century by the timber construction company Pflug and was used to transport wood from the Havel and as a wood store. The agricultural use of the lower-lying grassland areas resulted in the construction of dams around 1935 and 1990 and drainage measures. An extensive flat-water lake was created between the old and new dams. The "Klienitz" is the habitat of numerous protected species such as common tern, bittern, kingfisher and lapwing as well as water lilies and orchids. After Zehdenick and the railway line with fields have passed, from the Welsengraben there are flooded peat pits to the right and left of the route. The picturesque cycle path runs on the former dam of the Torflohrenbahn to the Ziegeleipark. There is something for everyone in the Ziegeleipark. Age group enough to discover. The park with restaurants is open from April to October. The route then continues picturesquely past engravings and hand-painted brick buildings and remains particularly picturesque up to Burgwall. Good and very lovingly prepared home-style food can be found in the Marienthaler with Sven and Nadine in the town of the same name, 2km behind Burgwall.
