The nature reserve "Klienitz" is located in the Zehdenicker-Mildenberger Tonstichlandschaft directly on the city limits of Zehdenick. It was declared a nature reserve in December 2002. A canal system, which also belongs to the nature reserve, is also striking. The people of Zehdenick know it as "Pflug's Kanal". It was built in the first half of the 20th century by the timber construction company Pflug and was used to transport wood from the Havel and as a wood store. The agricultural use of the lower-lying grassland areas resulted in the construction of dams around 1935 and 1990 and drainage measures. An extensive flat-water lake was created between the old and new dams.
