The narrow path leads through the pretty beech forest directly above the coast... very idyllic and especially magical during quiet times.

A beautiful path right along the cliffs... if you prefer, you can also walk directly along the water... You can see the green and white lighthouse from afar and enjoy magnificent views of the water.

The path leads through a fairytale forest. Quaintly shaped trees, with the sea always below. At some point, you emerge from the forest and the expanse of the sea stretches out before you. The path leads back down below. It's particularly suitable for dogs, as it's not so crowded.

Even more natural is the Bottsand nudist beach, just a few hundred meters away, between the bird sanctuary and the Heidkate. Cycling enthusiasts will find a tour description for the ride from Schönberger Strand to Laboe on the "Baltic Sea Coast Cycling Tour" page. FHH area "South coast of Eckernförde Bay and offshore flats" The Fauna-Flora-Habitat (FFH) area "South coast of Eckernförde Bay and offshore flats" covers a narrow coastal strip on the south side of Eckernförde Bay with an area of 8,238 hectares. On the seaward side, it includes the offshore flats "Stollergrund" and "Mittelgrund" and on land the nature reserve (NSG) "Bewaldete Düne bei Noer". The FFH area has a maximum east-west extension of approx. 27 km and stretches from Eckernförde's south beach in the west to Strande in the east.
