The interior design of Neuschwanstein Castle features the recurring element of the soaring swan. This symbolizes purity and is the heraldic animal of the Counts of Schwangau, to which Ludwig II belonged. Anyone who has seen the Lechfall should continue on foot at the Schwansee kiosk through the forest to the Schwan See. From there you can see the two castles from dad (money) and (white) from the son - King Ludwig II.
