This is an oddity in this landscape of pine forests and bogs. The Gasselterveld used to be an mine, hence the "oddity" of light blue waters in a place where every other pond, lake, puddle is pitch black! Cool trails in beautiful nature

The Gasselterveld has been open to the public since 2017.

The Gasselterveld is an old sand excavation, in the middle it is 50 meters deep, making the water wonderfully cool. Be careful; it gets very deep very quickly.
