It's a good place, great views and the paths are very good.

In 2023 I came to a closed door because of the European Championship in August, but now I was curious about the latest adjustments: a course that starts on the south side of the VAM mountain with a climb of approximately 460 meters long with a maximum gradient of 16.4%. And while you're there: just ride this pimple up and down from all sides including a cobblestone strip and that 16% section.

Very special place on an active waste mountain. It's a beautiful ride to the top of the mount, but you have to endure the smell.

Is this Italy or Drenthe? The intense blue water, white sand and green conifers give this place a foreign feeling. But it is really our beautiful Drenthe

This is an oddity in this landscape of pine forests and bogs. The Gasselterveld used to be an mine, hence the "oddity" of light blue waters in a place where every other pond, lake, puddle is pitch black! Beautiful climb to the highest point in Drenthe!

The Gasselterveld has been open to the public since 2017.

The Gasselterveld is an old sand excavation, in the middle it is 50 meters deep, making the water wonderfully cool. Be careful; it gets very deep very quickly.
