Very idyllic and worth a visit

The fortress island of Vauban is surrounded by two branches of the Old Saar, very beautiful

The beautiful and quiet Saaraltarm with its surrounding nature is always worth a visit.

The "Three Capuchins" is a Gallo-Roman rock relief that can be found along the Vaubansteig dream loop in Saarland. This relief, carved in red sandstone, originally shows three figures, two of which are still recognizable today: Nantosuelta, the protective goddess of house and farm, and Sucellus, the god of miners and blacksmiths. The name "Three Capuchins" came about in the Middle Ages, when the figures were thought to be Capuchin monks because of their clothing.

There are not only 3 stone monks

A remnant of the old limestone quarry which became a nature reserve. Small stone towers are also ready so that hikers can pull them up further. ;)

Beautiful passage along the German-French border. Traces of the trenches from World War II can still be seen. The forests were simply completely replanted after the war. This is recognizable by the many trees standing in a row.

Watch out! The real 3 Capuchins are a little further to the left, above the path. They are also slightly smaller!
