The Behlen Oak was a striking natural tree at the edge of the forest above Holzen. It was considered a natural monument and a popular landmark. It has since sadly fallen and died – but remains in memory as a part of local natural history.

Impressive old oak tree. Unfortunately, it is now dead. It is estimated to be around 300 years old. An information board provides information about the oak tree.

A visit is recommended in every season. The park changes its face and invites you to take photos and walk around. There is an original English teatime in the restaurant. Delicious! Reservations should be made for larger groups.

The Isteiner Klotz is a prominent mountain ridge in the district of Lörrach in the extreme south-west of Germany. The Isteiner Klotz is a promontory between the villages of Istein and Kleinkems, which rises about 150 meters above the Rheinauen. At the western end at Istein the ridge forms a steep cliff. The Vitus chapel, which was built around the year 1100, is located in a rock niche.
