A wonderful collection of tropical plants in a perfectly landscaped park. Easily accessible by bike from the pier via the paved road along the coast, it's a must-see for day trips.

Beautiful ancient gardens laid out by Augustus Smith, Lord Proprietor of the Scillys, next to his stately home in the 19th century. Today the garden is home to over 2000 species of tropical and subtropical plants.

Around this cave entrance myths and legends entwine. It is located at sea level and can only be reached by climbing on the rocks. (This happens at your own risk - please be very careful and inform a third party before leaving the trail!) The tunnel entrance is about 2m high, but tapers very fast. Legend has it that in this tunnel - in addition to the usual monsters and abysses - also a way to the neighboring island of Tresco, which also has a cave entrance called Piper's Hole! The evidence for the connection is pending, but it is reported that many years have seen dogs running in on one side and coming out on the other - short-cropped!
