Great, very shady forest route on gravel through the forest, even after heavy rain the path is not muddy.

A pine grove worth seeing and a place to retreat on hot days. After Hemingway had walked through here, he is said to have said "But this is Florida!" Lignano Pineta goes back to the building plans of the visionary, talented young architect Marcello D'Olivo. The place resembled a construction site at the time. D'Olivo's "career" as a painter and architect began with the design and his involvement here. Hemingway visited Pineta in April 1954, the first and only time in his life.
