Fly fishing in the Soča The Soča and its tributaries are considered a unique destination for fly fishing, the only permitted method of fishing in the Soča. The river is highly valued by connoisseurs and anglers experience a very special feeling of satisfaction when catching the indigenous Marmorata trout.

The valley of the most beautiful Slovenian river is characterized by numerous natural beauties, but also preserves the shocking legacy of the First World War. Here you can both commemorate the bloody past and create positive new memories of unforgettable experiences in nature.

Pian delle Farcadizze, above Faedis and not far from Canebola, is located at an altitude of 780 meters and is a well-known crossroads for those who cycle or walk on the slopes of Mount Joànaz. Porzus is also not far away, the place where a massacre occurred in February 1945, considered one of the most tragic and controversial of the Italian Resistance. In these areas it is very easy to find fresh spring water to quench your thirst.

Please note that a large part of the hike is in the maquis and nothing is marked out... luckily we had a good connection, 😉
