A beautiful viewing point with a table and benches.

A worthwhile vantage point with a great hut, the perfect rest stop. But why isn't there a stamp box here?

The area of today's "Neun Brunnen", located south of the town of Heiligenstadt in the Pferdebach valley, was first documented in 1634. It got its name from the nine springs (Neun Börner). The area is still rich in springs today, although the exact number is not known. As early as the 19th century, the area of the "Neun Brunnen" was a popular destination for Heiligenstadt families. People would meet up in company and have picnics. People could make their own coffee to accompany their meals. Gastronomy has been in operation since around 1880.

You almost miss them, good thing that signs point to them everywhere

Attention ‼️ The Touringen stamp “Maienwand” is not there. If you walk the jungle path, which we did, you will miss the “Maienwand” stamp and have to go back from the viewpoint. 🤷‍♂️ The box hangs at the junction of the Leine-Werra-Weg and is called “Maienwand”, even though it is quite a distance away.
