Durmålshaugen is a 294-metre peak. Located in Gullesfjorden, it offers a beautiful view of the fjord.

We hiked up from Lødingen; there was snow in some sections, making it a challenging climb. But it was wonderfully varied and exciting.

Summit with a beautiful view, hike starts on the E10 and is relatively easy (few meters in altitude, not so steep, no exposed areas)

Wenn you start your ascent from the plateau, you won't find a path. But you will spot a red mark, when you look in the direction of the peak. After you reached this waymark by walking over the slightly swampy plain, another mark appears – and so on. The terrain is getting steeper and rocky soon – you might need your hands from time to time – but the actual challenge is to spot the next waymark, since segments where you can see a path are thin on the ground.
