Keiservarden is a real favourite for the people of Bødo. In 2016, Queen Sonja officially open the sherpa-built trail up to the summit. At the top of the climb, there's a circular viewfinder that allows you to name the surrounding islands and peaks.

As the highest peak on Vestvågøya, Himmeltindan is an obvious objective for adventurous trail runners. The ascent is from the beautiful Haukland Beach and it rewards with stunning views across the Lofoten Islands.

Ryten is a deservedly popular objective that's suitable for avid hiking families. The views from the top down to the idyllic Kvalvika Beach are sumptuous. Take care on the path up, as the cliff edge is never far away... and it's very steep.

A Lofoten classic, the trek to Reinebringen is one of the most popular hiking journeys in Norway. The view from this high point is famously jaw-dropping. Bear in mind that winter conditions make this hike very dangerous – one for the warmer months.
