Covão dos Musaranhos. A very pleasant space next to the Óbidos Lagoon, it has a picnic area, barbecue and public toilets (unfortunately almost always closed). There is also a bar restaurant with a pleasant terrace (they do not serve dinner).

The Arnóia River rises in the Serra de Todo o Mundo and flows for 30 km before flowing into the Óbidos Lagoon. A dam was built about one and a half kilometres from Óbidos, in the Horta Valley, whose reservoir was used to irrigate the area's crops.

Very nice dirt/gravel road, which follows the shores of the baragem. In winter a little wet (see picture), but no problem with a mountainbike.

Óbidos Lagoon is home to a unique ecosystem that rests on a delicate balance between river and sea water. A large expanse of white sand dunes separates the lagoon from the sea. Here fishermen collect shellfish, as well as octopus, fish and crabs. The calm waters make this place suitable for numerous sports, including kitesurfing, kayaking and SUP.

The São Domingos Dam is located about five kilometers from the mouth of the São Domingos River, in the town of Atouguia da Baleia, in the municipality of Peniche, district of Leiria. It is the largest municipal property and also the only dam in the West that is intended for public water supply [1]. It is a rockfill dam with a clay core, with a length of approximately four kilometers and an average width of three hundred meters.
