Nice place very close to Miraflores de la Sierra. It is a small reservoir with a small recreational area with benches. I recommend taking a walk around, especially in autumn, when the leaves turn reddish. It has parking nearby.

In this recreational area near Rascafría, there are shaded natural pools where you can take a bath in the hot season. There is an area of tables and a bar where you can buy something to drink.

The Pinilla reservoir is located in the upper reaches of the Lozoya River, in the north of the Community of Madrid (Spain). Located in the heart of the Sierra de Guadarrama, it has been the head reservoir of the basin since the moment it was inaugurated in 1967. It is part of the Canal de Isabel II network, a company that supplies drinking water to the capital of Spain and a good part of of the Community of Madrid.

On the side of the road is this panoramic point that offers us one of the best views of the Pinilla reservoir and the town of Lozoya. Following the same path, you can go around the reservoir completely, a very quiet path without difficulty that, depending on the time of year, offers unique and very picturesque landscapes.
