The Los Lindes Reservoir is located in the Community of Madrid, near Garganta de los Montes. It is a 20.8 km circular hiking trail that is generally considered difficult and takes approximately 5 hours and 27 minutes to complete. The reservoir is part of a route that includes Canencia, Garganta de los Montes, Ermita, and the Sardalinde Spring. The route also passes an abandoned quarry and the Sardalinde Spring.

Wonderful views and surroundings

The Senda de las Gariñas is a circular path 6.5 km long. The route crosses part of the forest mass known as the Gariñas forest and reaches the Puentes Viejas reservoir, where we find the riverside landscape. The forest is made up mostly of resin pine, although as we approach the banks of the reservoir we also find ash trees and Montpellier maples.

The Puentes Viejas reservoir is located in the middle course of the Lozoya River, in the Sierra Norte (Madrid). It belongs to the Canal de Isabel II reservoir network and is the third reservoir in the direction of the current that the river passes through.

Forest mass known as the Gariñas forest and reaches the Puentes Viejas reservoir, where we find the riverside landscape. The forest is made up mostly of resin pine, although as we approach the banks of the reservoir we also find ash trees and Montpellier maples.

On the banks of the Lozoya River at the beginning of the El Atazar reservoir we find this forest populated with pine, ash and Montpellier maple. Leafy, it creates a cozy natural intimacy that collects us in its bed as we pass through its paths.

Built in 1972 and belonging to the Isabel II canal, the El Atazar reservoir is the largest in Madrid, housing 46% of the community's impounded water. Located in a rugged enclave full of slate, the landscape that surrounds the reservoir and that is born from its waters is spectacular, giving way to monumental natural routes and walks through its surrounding historic towns.
