Nice route, the climb from Castel San Pietro towards Alpe di Caivano is steep, on a cobbled road with bumpy sections, difficult without an EMTB. The descent is steep and could be risky due to the potholes. From Alpe di Caivano it is better to go through Generoso to Osteria La Peonia and then go down to Mendrisio.

The Osteria "La Peonia" is a place where you can take a break after a ride on the Generoso. The main path that leads to the summit of Monte Generoso begins exactly from here.

Monte San Giorgio is a wonderful 1097 m peak located in the Mendrisiotto area. From the top you can perfectly observe the entire Ceresio area and the city of Lugano, a true marvel.
