Beautiful road on the lake, from Nesso you take the famous climb towards Colma di Sormano, and there is also a very beautiful ravine.

Waterfall originating from the waters of the Sovaglia stream which make a drop of approximately 68 metres. The stream is generated by the 'overflow' of a karst cavity, known as the Sovaglia hole, which is located just upstream from Rovio. A cave about seventy meters deep and explored, so far, for over half a kilometre.

The most evocative part of the Nesso ravine is certainly the famous Civera bridge, symbol of this place. The ravine is formed by two rivers that converge, the Tuf and the Nosé, which form a steep waterfall that ends up in the waters of the lake.

The Cam waterfall is a very fascinating place that can be reached by traveling along the entire Sort Sentee, unfortunately given the low rainfall in recent years the waterfall has dried up a bit, but in periods when rainfall is abundant it is truly wonderful .

Around the waterfall, the water atomizes wonderfully into thousands of fine drops, which are a nice way to cool off

The ravine of Nesso is visible from Piazza Castello or from the medieval bridge also known as the Civera bridge, on the shore of Lake Como. The Orrido is formed by the confluence of two streams: Tuf and Nosè, which, falling between the rocks, form a steep waterfall; the difference in height from the beginning of the waterfall to the waters of the Lario is about 200 meters, a path between narrow and deep gorges, shaped by the incessant flow of the waters.

7월 19, 2022, Orrido di Nesso
In the Nesso ravine, two streams meet and flow into the lake after a spectacular 200-meter waterfall. You can enjoy this spectacle from the road, but it is much better to admire it from the ancient Civera bridge over the lake, which can be reached by descending the steps towards the square. Over the centuries, the power of the waters of the Nesso ravine was exploited by mills, paper mills, spinning mills and oil mills.

This place, hidden by the vegetation, opens up to the view of the small waterfall of Cam, whose waters, sliding adhering to the Moltrasio stone, form a placid pool of water before continuing the race towards the lake. A little below, once, these waters gave motive power to a mill, called Mulino di Cam.

Nesso is located on the Como branch of the lake, on the road from Como to Bellagio. The historic town center lies at the point where the two rivers Tuf and Nosè meet and plunge over a waterfall into the lake. The waterfall is known as Orrido di Nesso. Nesso's origins are Celtic, with the Romans taking it in 196 BC. During the ten years war the place allied itself with Milan and is destroyed by the Comern. In 1497 the large Nesso estate was transferred from Ludovico Sforza to Lucrezia Crivelli. In 1538 it became the property of Angelo Corio and from 1647 to 1787 to the Casnedi family.
