An interesting detour from the Viandante path

Incredible section, with a few tricky sections of via ferrata (climbing/scrambling with the help of chains). If you're fit and patient enough, you're rewarded with these spectacular pools. Recently reopened after repairs with a slight variation from the map route, so be sure to follow the red/white markers!

The spectacle is remarkable, accompanied by the deafening roar of the waters that fall from above with a jump of 50 meters. The imposing rocky walls carved by the water over the millennia suggest a primordial image in front of which one feels very small. This place surrounded by wild nature is a hidden jewel in the heart of Grigna, an oasis of peace and tranquility.

Beautiful tour...but sure-footedness is required

Beautiful waterfall, lovely little pools and rapids to relax in. Water very refreshing. Lovely hiking destination.

Along the route of the old Tramway you come across the "Bottini Bridge", from which you can admire the view of a deep ravine dug by the Cosia stream which forms the so-called "bottini waterfall". The bridge was inaugurated on June 9, 2002. At this same point in 1955 the bridge that joined the hamlets of Camnago and Solzago, allowing the river to be crossed, collapsed due to intense rain. A landslide came off the mountain and ended up in the Cosia stream. An enormous mass of water came out of the banks of the stream, hit the valley and swept away some houses. This tragedy is remembered as "The little Vajont of Tavernerio".

The Baggero Oasis is the result of the environmental recovery of a large area previously used for mining, located between the municipalities of Merone, Monguzzo, Lambrugo and Lurago d'Erba. Started in 1970, the redevelopment process led to the creation of two lakes in old marl extraction excavations. The area offers pedestrian paths, cycle paths, a children's play area and an innovative Stellar Oasis for astronomical observation. The old cement plant warehouse was converted into a "Park Center" inaugurated in 2015, equipped with classrooms, conference room and a hostel with bar/refreshment area. The Baggero Oasis is also a starting point for exploring the Lambro Valley Park, offering initiatives to experience and discover the natural beauty of the area. It is located in Merone, with access from via Cesare Battisti.
