From the freely accessible wooden observation tower, a wide view opens up over the surrounding forests, in the middle of which protrudes like a landed UFO Tropical Island. Especially in autumn with its golden colors, the view from above is worthwhile, because here the typical pine forests are mixed by one or the other deciduous tree. The heather lakes can only be partially seen from the tower. But you can see parts of the Köthener See.

The best starting point for a hike to Kahler Berg is the guest house in Motzen (tourist information). Parking is available in front of the house or at the village church in Motzen. From the guest house leads the beautiful circular walk, along the village church Motzen, past the historic elm and the Motzener lake to a quiet pine forest. Through the forest you reach the viewpoint on the Kahler Berg (85.7 m). There is a bench at the top, so that you can see the Motzener See here in suitable weather conditions and depending on the season (depending on the tree growth).
