The Hortenberg is a 51 m above sea level elevation in Deutsch Wusterhausen, a district of the town of Königs Wusterhausen in the Dahme-Spreewald district in Brandenburg. The best starting point for a hike to Kahler Berg is the guest house in Motzen (tourist information). Parking is available in front of the house or at the village church in Motzen. From the guest house leads the beautiful circular walk, along the village church Motzen, past the historic elm and the Motzener lake to a quiet pine forest. Through the forest you reach the viewpoint on the Kahler Berg (85.7 m). There is a bench at the top, so that you can see the Motzener See here in suitable weather conditions and depending on the season (depending on the tree growth). The Kahle Mountain is 85 meters high. At the summit is a high transmission tower. A few meters next to it is a rest area with benches. Although it is called a lookout point, the forest is now too high to be overlooked. Through two straight pathways one has a very small section with a view.

The name says it all: the bald head was not always as heavily wooded as it is today. He used to be a "bald head" and housed many interesting habitats. If you feel like taking a few meters in otherwise rather flat Brandenburg, you can look for a way up the "mountain" and enjoy the view in the winter in the foliage-free state.

The Streiberg - formerly Eichberg - is about 40 meters above the neighboring Linowsee. One does not have a view due to the trees, however, the "summit" with some boulders was transformed into a place of power. Above all, you need strength to be able to do the 40 meters by bike. It goes down so much faster and the brake system should be fine.
