This is a site that was inhabited by people thousands of years ago, as can be proven by archaeological finds. Visitors of our modern times are invited to stay at least for a short time. Some will certainly be happy to take advantage of the opportunity offered here after the climb.

To be honest, the name leaves me a little perplexed: why did someone back then come up with the - to me incomprehensible - idea of naming an ore mine in the Hunsrück after the deity Apollo from Greek mythology, and the god of the sea at that?

A great place to stop off with a fantastic panoramic view 🎨🖌📸. It's wonderful to enjoy a glass of wine here 🍷. ☝🏼Check opening times beforehand ☝🏼
