The Hubertusquelle was a mineral water spring in the Höllental Valley that once flowed from a crevice on the banks of the Selbitz River. It has since dried up, but its former location is still recognizable by the rust-brown stones near the refuge.

This large path at a former charcoal kiln offers a hut with information boards, a bench with a FWV memorial stone and another elevated bench. Several hiking trails lead here

Here we are at the "Hopperles Kohlstatt", one of over 800 Kohlstätten that once existed in the Franconian Forest. There is also a shelter here as well as the Willi Pfeifer memorial stone, which commemorates the pre-war chairman of the Hof local group. He made a valuable contribution to the hiking trails and the tourist resort of Dürrenwaid-Silberstein.

In the refuge next to it there is an information board with the history of the Höllental! 😉👍

The mountain rescue hut is located in the upper third of the former ski slope. A well-used hiking trail runs below. There is a wooden lounger right next to the hut. There is a Franconian Forest trekking site above the slope.

The Selbitz is a left tributary of the Saxon Saale. In the upper reaches, part of a lively meadow river, it digs its way through the wild and romantic Höllental shortly before the mouth. In all seasons you can hike here wonderfully and admire numerous natural beauties.

The mountain rescue hut Döbraberg is on the former starting slope of the Döbraberg descent down to the Zwergenloch near Schwarzenbach a. W., on which races were still held until the early 1980s. The last giant slalom took place in 1996. The cross-country ski trails 6 km, 8 km and 15 km, as well as the 5 km skating trail lead right past here.

my home territory. Around the Döbraberg you can cross-country ski in winter on a groomed trail. Otherwise there are many forest and trail paths for biking.
