I can confirm that the tickets are checked by the ranger in the evening. It is particularly busy here from Friday to Saturday, a little less from Saturday to Sunday. If you want to spend the night in peace, it is better to do so during the week. The hut is very well equipped. In addition to some designated sleeping places, you can also sleep in the attic and, if necessary, in the lounge/kitchen. In theory, there is sleeping space for more than 10 people. There is also a composting toilet (you have to bring your own toilet paper), and there are tables with metal plates for cooking with a camping stove. There is also water for use; you have to bring your own drinking water.

Built in 1908, the Wilischbaude originally served as a popular destination for hikers, cyclists, locals and skiers and was easily accessible via a road from Hermsdorf. However, after German reunification in 1990, the lodge increasingly fell into disrepair. In 1998, the Reinhardtsgrimma municipal council decided to preserve the landscape and structural structure in the area of the Wilisch and the Wilischbaude. Nevertheless, vandalism and a lack of financial resources prevented successful renovation.

The Felsenkeller Bielatal was a popular inn and restaurant in the district of Schweizermühle (Bad) since 1854, until the fall of the Wall. The name “Felsenkeller” has its origins in the vaulted cellar on the ground floor, which is attached to the rock. The beer was always kept cool here.
