Anyone walking along the Wands here forgets that they are actually in the middle of the city

The Schwarze Au is a stream in southern Schleswig-Holstein that drains large parts of the Sachsenwald. The source of the Schwarze Au is located at 38 m above sea level north of the town of Schwarzenbek. It crosses the Sachsenwald in an east-west direction, flows through the Aumühle district of Friedrichsruh, where it is dammed to form the castle pond, and flows into the Bille in Aumühle at a height of 11 m above sea level. the best stop is 500m from here at the train station: "Harlekin"

The mill pond is very beautiful with different water birds, the path from there into the forest is perfect as a starting point.

Always worth a hike

The wood mill pond is not approved for swimming, although that would be an option. We didn't find a park bench here, but at least there is a trash can.
