The Naturfreundehaus is open Saturdays and Sundays in the summer and only Sundays in the winter, making it a great place to stop for a bite to eat during your hike. The Grubethaus is usually open on weekends, except for school holidays. You can find out exactly when you can stop by on the Grubetfreunde website: https://www.grubetfreunde.de/. Across the street is an educational beekeeping facility, and this is also where the forest adventure trail starts.

Beautiful rest area in front of a nut tree (when nuts are ripe, definitely put on a helmet 😜). God rewards those who set it up and kept it so beautiful (and those who leave it clean).
