The "Achtersee" - also called "Achterlacke" - is a small gravel lake in the west of WN. It got its name from its shape, which it got from the merging of "Chrysanthemum Lake" and "Begonia Lake" and which is reminiscent of the number 8. Implementation as a bathing lake began in 2014 and the area was expanded into an urban recreation area. This was followed by the opening of the "Himmelblau" beach club with adjacent beach volleyball court and playground.
