It is a very beautiful and easy to walk tour. It is also suitable for children. (But be careful! There are a lot of small bridges and footbridges over the creek!) Appropriate footwear is recommended. Another tip: Dear hikers, take your used paper handkerchiefs home with you and dispose of them there! I always have a bag with me for my waste! Do it anyway. Thanks!!

On August 9, 1862, the Bavarian King, who was enthusiastic about the Palatinate, walked through the Karlstal near Trippstadt together with His Royal Highness, Grand Duke Ludwig III. of Hesse and near the Rhine, and Her Imperial Highness Archduchess Hildegard of Austria.
