Here, two small watermills can be found to the right and left of the path: On one side, the "wood factory" with a deer and a stack of wood, and on the other, two frogs and a butterfly are depicted on the watermill. A wonderful discovery for children.

A hiking sign from the Frankenwaldverein (Franconian Forest Association) is located here. Parking is free. A bus stop is available.

The carved tree trunk next to the bench is the real highlight

The Ahornberg St. Martin's Church is a late Gothic hall church from 1570 - the landmark of Ahornberg, the 54 meter high church tower, greets you far and wide. Our church is a sacred building in which a wonderfully concentrated silence can be felt - focused on the large altar crucifix from 1520. Other works of art: Gothic monstrance; epitaphs from Gothic to Baroque; interior furnishings from the mid-19th century; very beautiful choir windows from 1940-1943, motifs: Christmas stories - baptism and communion - Easter, Ascension, Pentecost; design by W. Ritterbach, execution: Ferd. Müller (Quedlinburg); wonderful, far-reaching ringing of bells, execution: F.W. Schilling Heidelberg/Karlsruhe 1951/ 2000 based on the old church "Te Deum" (see Evangelical Hymnal No. 191) with the tones d' - f'- g' - b'.
