A "nice hill" in the Ardennes. The quality of the asphalt makes it a bit harder. Luckily, it's located in the forest, making it easy to ride even in summer. Eat well and drink plenty of water beforehand.

Beautiful view over the Ourthe valley

A must-see is this steep part of the Ourthe Valley, bucolic and ideal for climbing, as well as the memory of Charles Quint in the ruins of the Château de Lognes! Hiking there is a varied pleasure between the relaxing banks of the river where fishermen and kayakers compete, and the impressive rocks to be bypassed by steep paths. Go hiking there, fun is guaranteed!

Very nice climb! Steep but certainly not impossible. Depending on where you start, the climb is actually divided into 2 or 3 parts. Try to recover before you have to pedal up another 2km at about 8-10% at the end. Not steep, but long! I didn't like the descent myself: too steep for me in combination with bad asphalt. But still definitely worth doing the climb!

This climb is like many climbs in this region quite steep. At the top you are rewarded with a beautiful view.

On the right bank of the Ourthe, the Sy rocks are used by mountaineers. The main ones are located upstream of the village and are called the Cathedral Rock and the Nandouire Rock. These limestone rocks, part of the Calestienne, have been included on the list of classified real estate heritage of Ferrières since 1942 and are listed as a site of great biological interest. These same rocks were painted by Richard Heintz who resided for many years in the village and died on the other bank of the Ourthe in Verlaine-sur-Ourthe (Tohogne - currently Durbuy) (commemorative plaque) but his death was recorded in Sy (then commune of Vieuxville).

1st part is the Côte du Parc à Gibier cotacol nr 452, a slope of 1600m and an average of 8.8% Then you descend a bit to then climb 1300m again at about 10% on average to the top of Haussire.
