Keszthely에서 Hévíz까지의 경로는 발라톤 호수 서쪽 끝에서 가장 인기 있고 쾌적한 자전거 경로 중 하나입니다. 발라톤의 문화적 "수도"를 세계적으로 유명한 온천 호수와 연결합니다. 연결 구간은 짧고 간결하며 매우 잘 정비되어 있습니다. 반나절 나들이나 관광과 웰빙 사이의 편안한 연결로 매우 적합합니다.

케스트헤이(헝가리어: Sétálóutca)의 보행자 거리는 "발라톤의 수도"의 심장부입니다. 코슈트 라요시 거리(Kossuth Lajos utca)를 따라 뻗어 있으며 페슈테티치 궁전(Festetics Palace)의 웅장한 성 공원과 역사적인 중앙 광장(Fő tér)을 연결합니다. 약 300미터 길이의 이 구역은 바로크, 고전주의부터 아르누보까지 다양한 시대의 건물들로 특징지어집니다. 거리는 화강암과 현무암으로 포장되어 있고 물푸레나무가 늘어서 있어 특히 여름에 지중해의 분위기를 더합니다. 야외 좌석이 있는 수많은 카페, 아이스크림 가게, 레스토랑이 있습니다. 랑고스(Lángos)와 같은 고전적인 헝가리 요리나 쇼믈로이 갈루슈카(Somlói Galuska) 디저트가 인기가 있습니다.

Keszthely의 Kossuth Lajos utca에 있는 교회는 도시와 발라톤 지역 전체에서 가장 중요한 역사적 명소 중 하나입니다. 이곳은 보행자 거리(Kossuth Lajos utca) 끝의 메인 광장(Fő tér) 바로 옆에 위치한 "헝가리의 성모 마리아"(헝가리어: Magyarok Nagyasszonya-plébániatemplom) 교구 교회입니다. 이 교회는 Keszthely에서 가장 오래된 건물입니다. 이 교회는 1386년경 팔츠 백작 István Lackfi가 프란치스코 수도회를 위해 세웠습니다. Lackfi 자신은 1397년 처형 후 교회에 안치되었으며, 그의 고딕 양식 묘비는 오늘날까지도 그곳에서 볼 수 있습니다.

This quiet, paved bike path allows you to cycle to Keszthely away from car traffic. Be careful, the narrow path is sometimes busy, including with pedestrians!
