Here at the hut there is a barbecue area and several benches for sitting.

There is good parking at the Waldsee car park. A ten-minute walk takes you to the lake where you will be greeted by the many ducks.

Nice place with a water treading pool to relax. View over the Kinzigtal.

An Ice Age glacier carved this cirque lake out of the Buntsandstein. It was once used by the raftsmen as a swell pond to wash the felled trunks down into the valley with the accumulated water. Due to its pristine nature, the Glaswaldsee is one of the most beautiful, clear blue eyes of the Black Forest. The name of the lake comes from a glassworks that stood in the Seebachtal together with a hamlet in the 17th century. In earlier times, glass for the bottles of the Rippoldsauer Sauerbrunnen was produced there. Great place for beautiful pictures

Beautiful hiking area. Great infrastructure for hikers and mountain bikers. The Black Forest and in particular the Ortenau district are very varied. Since I don't take a photo of every bench or bush along the way, I'll include a photo collage of my photos from the region.
