10월 26, 2025, Huntsman's Leap
The photos don’t do this part of the coastline any justice. The sheer drops are impressive!

Mynydd Carningli, or Carningli for short (or "Carn Ingli"), is almost 350 meters high and around 450 million years old. It is a long-extinct volcano that has been eroded by sea, rainwater, and wind. Today, only the core of Carningli remains. It was first documented as "Mons Angelorum" (Mountain of the Angels) in the 12th century. Saint Brynach is said to have lived nearby in a small community of monks around 450 AD and often climbed the mountain to speak with the angels. Those who climb the mountain today, enjoying the peace and the surrounding views, can easily imagine that the saint—like other people—sought proximity to the angels there.

7월 31, 2024, Tenby North Beach and Goscar Rock
Tenby North Beach is easy to find when in Tenby thanks to the iconic Goscar Rock protruding from the sand in the center of the strip. The beach is one of the most loved in the area and is nestled between Harbor Beach and the elegant North Cliffs. This means the sand faces east, meaning it catches the sun all day and feels warm, even when the wind is blowing hard. (The beach guide)

Top spot, with a great view. The approach from the east side is adventurous as there is usually little or no path visible. With only the summit roughly in sight, we steadily fought our way up.

You can hardly estimate what awaits you here from above. The path down the slippery steps is deficient. value!

10월 29, 2023, Elegug Stacks
The Stack Rocks (Elegug Stacks - Elegug is the Welsh word for guillemot) are two free-standing limestone columns. Also nearby is the Green Bridge, a natural arch formed by the waves, and the Cauldron on the headland to the east.

10월 26, 2023, St Govan's Chapel
St Govan's Chapel is a rock cell where a saint lived. According to legend, he had a magic bell that he used to warn pirates. Exciting and a special atmosphere here!

10월 16, 2023, Abereiddy Beach
This beach is made up of pebbles and exceptionally dark sand made from crushed grey slate. The slate gives the water in the "Blue Lagoon" its bright deep blue colour. To the north of the beach is a lovely little harbour - an open-cut quarry that is also wheelchair accessible. Be careful: there are strong currents here.

10월 14, 2023, Carreg Samson Dolmen
Carreg Samson, a dolmen, lies over Abercastle Bay, near Fishguard. The capstone is approximately 4 1/2 m long and 2.7 m wide. It lies on three of the seven upright support stones. The dolmen was previously covered by a mound of earth or stone. At the beginning of the 20th century, the gaps between the stones were closed so that the dolmen could be used as a sheepfold. The Carreg Samson is a so-called Scheduled Monument.

Very beautiful view and a small, simple chapel. Steep path and slippery steps. The story about St Govan who (allegedly) hid in the crevice is quite interesting.

The monument includes the remains of two chamber tombs from the Neolithic period (ca. 4,400 BC - 2,900 BC). Chamber tombs were built and used by local farming communities over long periods of time. The two sub-megalithic burial chambers lie in rock-strewn open moorland on the sloping terrain northwest of Garn Llidi, at the westernmost point of the ridge.

Lovely viewpoint and peak. On a clear day you can see right across Newport and the Preselli's. There is a free car park on Ffordd bedd Morris Road or you can park at Newport Bridge.

11월 22, 2022, Foel Cwmcerwyn Summit
Foel Cwmcerwyn is the highest point of the Preseli Hills at 1,759 feet (536m). It also marks Pembrokeshire's County Top and is a UK Marilyn so you can tick it off a few lists if you're hill bagging. From the north, it's an unassuming and fairly gentle (if rather boggy) approach. The south face footpath is a little steeper, with better panoramic views.

11월 22, 2022, Huntsman's Leap
Legend has it that a huntsman urged his horse over the chasm, landed safely, then looked back and dropped dead from shock when he saw what he had jumped over. Huntsman's Leap is a narrow steep-sided inlet, formed by sea erosion along a fault line in the cliff. It offers a good reason to stick to the established path! Another reason not to wander at will is that Huntsman's Leap is on an MOD firing range and is closed to the public at certain times. Call Pembroke Visitor Centre on 01437 776499 to check if the range is open to the public. Alternatively, you can check by visiting: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/castlemartin-firing-notice--2.
