Beautiful scenery from Zielow to Vipperow

The section of the Müritz Cycle Route between Vipperow and Ludorf leads through a peaceful, expansive cultural landscape on the southwest shore of Lake Müritz. Starting in Vipperow, the route mostly follows flat paths through fields and small rows of trees toward Ludorf. This section is easy to ride, with hardly any inclines, and is ideal for a relaxed tour with short breaks.

The pier in Rechlin on the southern shore of Lake Müritz is a striking wooden walkway that extends far into the lake and offers impressive views over the water. For cyclists on the Müritz Cycle Route, it's an ideal place to take a break and enjoy the expansive lake landscape. The pier is a signature feature of the route, connecting cycling along the shore with a unique panorama of Lake Müritz.

The village church in Zielow, a simple half-timbered building, was built in 1833/34 on the foundations of an older, dilapidated church and stands on a fieldstone plinth above the Müritz shore. The small hall building has a flat wooden beam ceiling, simple mullioned windows, and a recessed ridge turret on the west side. Particularly noteworthy are the colorful pulpit with carved ironwork and an altarpiece from 1728 depicting Christ on the Cross. Instead of fixed pews, there are simple chairs; there is no organ, but a harmonium provides musical accompaniment. "Originally, there were two bells in the tower. The Frey Farm Shop – "Alte Tischlerei" (Old Carpentry Shop) is an organic farm shop with an attached restaurant that combines regional freshness with rural hospitality. In this charmingly converted former carpentry shop, products from the farm's own farm and hunting are offered, including cheese, game specialties, homemade sausages, and fresh bread and cakes. The restaurant serves modern and traditional dishes in a cozy atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Located directly on the Müritz Circular Trail, the farm shop is a perfect stop for cyclists, families, and nature lovers.

This beautiful little church in Zielow is locked. It is only open when a service is taking place.
