The half-timbered church was rebuilt in 1833/34. The previous church, dating from the 13th century, had fallen into disrepair. The beautifully painted pulpit, the altar screens (1674-1704), and the bell from 1466 come from the old church. The altarpiece (Christ on the Cross) was donated by the von Knuth family in 1828. The harmonium was donated by Duke Friedrich Franz III of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. There are a few graves in the small churchyard.
