The first stretch from Gröditz is just an unpaved forest path, but it's a good ride. After that comes a nice stretch of well-paved bike path. Not a high-speed route, but nice and relaxing.

There is almost always an excellent paved cycle path if it weren't for the one piece near Gröditz that leads unpaved through some forest. In dry weather it was also ok to ride a racing bike.

alone between Prösen and Gröditz you cross the former Prussian-Saxon border 3 times on the raft canal, today the border between Brandenburg and Saxony.
