At Markt 1, Heuer's Gasthof, an unusually large thatched-roof house with a bowling alley and a large hall, had stood since the mid-18th century. In 1923, it burned down during a meeting of the town council – the council members could only escape through the windows. Two years later, the Schönberger Hof was built, now with a cinema, and is still colloquially known as "Blitz" (Lightning).

There is a free parking space in the town center directly opposite the church.

The Schönberg cemetery is located on the edge of the village and is easily accessible via a convenient parking lot directly opposite. Well-maintained paths allow visitors to stroll among the graves – a peaceful place somewhat removed from the village center.

The Probstei Community School in Schönberg is more than just an ordinary school building: Here, students learn together from 5th grade through the upper secondary level, aiming to achieve qualifications up to and including the Abitur (university entrance diploma). The school is in high demand – in 2024, so many students enrolled that it reached its capacity. Between the library, cafeteria, and observatory, the school not only imparts knowledge but also fosters teamwork in sports, creative theater, and sustainable engagement. In short: A vibrant place where everyday life, community, and future prospects are immediately palpable – right in the heart of Schönberg.

The furnishings largely date from the time of the church's reconstruction: the baptismal font, pulpit altar, and gallery are all original. The organ, dating from 1782, has been expanded several times, now boasts 21 stops across two manuals and pedal, and is an example of classic organ building in this region.
